A Brief Overview
Writes and edits a variety of content for Avera, including blogs, articles, white papers, infographics, letters, speeches, advertising copy, web copy and marketing collateral as assigned through Avera's project management platform and the Managing Editor. Assists with internal communications as needed and works closely with marketing, media relations and internal communications.
What you will do
- Works directly with marketing partners and designers to develop marketing materials as assigned through Avera’s project management platform.
- Interviews clients/content experts for background information as needed to develop accurate and meaningful content.
- Participates in regular production meetings to keep projects moving through the production process according to due dates.
- Conducts interviews and research to gather information for articles and blogs as assigned, writes the blog/article, and seeks approval of Managing Editor, sources and other leaders as appropriate.
- Optimizes blog content for online search (keywords, headline, sub-heads, links).
- Participates in weekly content development meetings to plan and optimize content. Brings ideas to the table for future content that will benefit Avera and represent possibilities for return on investment (ROI).
- Delivers upon other assignments as made by the Managing Editor (may include talking points, letters, journal articles, white papers, newsletter content, internal communication, administrator columns).
- Writes web landing pages for campaigns related to assigned list of service lines/departments in collaboration with digital content developer.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Bachelor's in Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, English or related field.
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- 1-3 years Related experience
