Herzing University’s Online Campus is seeking a remote Program Chair – Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Track. Specifically, an experienced leader that is able to further develop the psychiatric mental health program and promote growth in students, develop faculty and support the graduate nursing department. At Herzing you’ll enjoy being a part of a student-centric, non-profit University that fosters autonomy and responds quickly to trends in the nursing field. This is a new and developing program for HU and we are looking for an experienced leader able to manage the program and continue its growth and team development.
As the Program Chair overseeing the program you’ll have an impact on building a solid nursing program that successfully prepares our students for robust careers. You will have the opportunity to mentor and inspire faculty and be hands-on with Nursing students. You will have oversight and collaboration for working with the team on clinical experiences, student opportunities, programmatic evaluation and lead programmatic management as well. This may include data collection, analysis and reporting, and continuous improvement in the program.

You will have the opportunity to engage in the enrollment process, participate in new student orientation, serve or lead various committees, and contribute to your teams’ ongoing education and training.
- Doctorate in Nursing
- National Certification as a PMHNP (minimum 2 years)
- Previous program chair and graduate program chair experience (3-5 years)
- Minimum of 2 years of online teaching experience
While not required, the following are preferred
- Experience with programmatic accreditation
- Curriculum development and design experience
- Multiple certifications
