Responsibilities of the Job: The Opportunity

The PR & Media team is growing! We are looking for a passionate PR coordinator to join our Sr. Director, PR Manager, and PR Assistant in building and executing our PR & Media program. In this supporting role, you will:

  • Pitch press releases and other content to reporters
  • Support inbound press inquiries
  • Help coordinate media interviews
  • Develop press briefing materials
  • Edit press releases and pitches
  • Create and maintain media lists
  • Conduct outlet and reporter research
  • Collaborate with the PR team to brainstorm content ideas for pitching

Your Experience and Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, public relations, or other related field
  • 2-3 years’ experience in media relations, specifically distributing content to press
  • Experience building and nurturing relationships with reporters at the the local, regional, and national levels
  • A strong track record of pitching and securing press coverage
  • Knowledge of Vocus/CISION database and Meltwater
  • PR agency experience (a plus)
