Position Summary

The Chief Medical Officer leads the clinical and quality initiatives that support practice standards and ensures consistent clinical performance across the telemedicine platform; analyzes and identifies opportunities for improvement; collaborates with stakeholders for provider management, medical staff credentialing, mid-level oversight, and any physician-related areas.

Responsibilities

  • Improve patient care, quality, safety, and overall clinical effectiveness
  • Maintain relationship between physicians and senior executive leadership team
  • Promotes physician alignment between providers and executive leadership
  • Serves as a direct liaison between telemedicine physicians and operations
  • Educate physicians on clinical pathways and organizational technologies
  • Collaborate with executive team to develop service lines and align with operational policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with executive team to oversee compliance, credentialing, quality, and evidence-based practices
  • Lead medical staff to ensure superior clinical outcomes and unparallelled patient experience

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited program is required
  • Board Certified in recognized medical specialty
  • Multi-state licensure/credentialing highly preferred (Active Texas Medical License required)
  • 1-3 years Telemedicine experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Informatics/technology background a plus
  • Strategic thinking and long-range planning skills with the ability to design, execute, and achieve strategic goals
  • Spanish speaker a plus but not required
