As an adjunct faculty member, you’ll provide program instruction in an online format, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline. Course Description: CST-250-Service Oriented Architecture:

  • This course teaches students to design and develop secure enterprise applications in a service oriented approach, both in theory and in practice. Students explore SOA concepts with an emphasis on cybersecurity and develop a working knowledge of web services. Design and develop web services with industry standard development tools. Prerequisite: ITT-115 or ITT-116.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. Other main responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Certified as Oracle DBA (OCA: Oracle Certified Associate, Oracle SOA Suite 12c Implementation Specialist, or OCP: Oracle Certified Professional) or J2EE Certified or Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD). Proficient in BPEL Modeling or SQL or J2EE or web-development or computer programming or computer/networking systems demonstrating the ability to enable multi-layered solution architectures.
  • Minimum: Master’s Degree (or higher) in Information Technology or Master’s Degree (or higher) in Computer Science or Master’s Degree (or higher) in Computer Information AND 2 or more years’ experience designing and/or implementing Service Oriented Architecture solutions in a mid- to large size enterprise.
