Job Description:
Our client seeks a Software Test Engineer to support new projects on a team focused on coding-heavy test automation, debugging, and hands-on hardware testing for next-generation CGM transmitters. The role will execute and debug automated tests primarily in Java and C#, develop new automated tests, and perform limited manual and hardware validation in an FDA-regulated environment. The work includes collaborating with a 22-engineer team, using tools such as Eclipse and IntelliJ, and contributing to process improvements and product quality.

Rate: $55.00 to $60.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
- Execute automated test cases written in Java and C# using Eclipse and/or IntelliJ.
- Troubleshoot and debug automation failures and contribute fixes.
- Develop new automated test cases from scratch for firmware features.
- Perform hands-on testing with Dexcom hardware and hardware interfaces.
- Create test plans, reports, and traceability matrices in an FDA-regulated quality environment.
- Identify risks, remove roadblocks, and propose process improvements.
- Understand and apply low-power systems design principles.
- Design, implement, and test new products and improve existing products.
- Contribute to improving gross margin through design enhancements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
- 5 to 8 years of experience in software, firmware, or software test engineering.
- Strong object-oriented coding skills with Java preferred or C# /.NET. Python acceptable with strong OOP and ability to adapt.
- Test automation experience focused on coding rather than UI/web automation.
- Hardware testing experience and comfort with analog and digital interfaces.
- Experience executing and debugging 70 to 80 percent of the time, with about 20 percent new test development and less than 10 percent manual testing.
- Familiarity with regulated environments and documentation practices.
- Online coding assessment required. Candidate may choose language.
- Not a fit for profiles centered primarily on Selenium-based web UI testing.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
