- Flexible Scheduling - We're ideally looking to fill 5 8-hour shifts per week, including being available to in the evening and/or weekend as well as on-call as needed. The Registered Veterinary Technologist will be working both within the hospital and out in the field. May be asked to occasionally travel to Quesnel. We're open to both full-time (40 hours/week) and part-time candidates).
As a key member of our medical team, your responsibilities will include:
- Anesthetic induction and monitoring: Ensure the safety and comfort of our patients during surgical procedures.
- Caring for in-house patients: Provide compassionate care and monitoring for animals recovering from surgery or receiving treatment.
- Client education and communication: Educate pet owners on preventive care, treatment plans, and post-operative care, ensuring they are well-informed and confident in caring for their pets.
- Digital imaging and diagnostics: Leverage our digital radiographs to enhance patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Dental care: Perform and assist with dental cleaning procedures, including using digital dental x-rays.
- In-house laboratory testing: Utilize your knowledge and precision to conduct a range of tests that support patient care.
