About This Opportunity

Join UQ's Rural Clinical School and play a key role in strengthening the future rural medical workforce across Queensland. Working with academic, clinical and professional staff across Southern Queensland, Wide Bay and Central Queensland, you will drive stakeholder engagement, oversee program reporting, support specialist training initiatives, and translate data into meaningful insights that inform future workforce development and improve health outcomes for regional communities. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to nationally significant programs while making a tangible impact on rural healthcare.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate the collection, analysis and reporting of Regional Training Hub data, ensuring accurate evaluation of program outcomes and compliance with Commonwealth reporting requirements.

  • Support specialist training programs and workforce development initiatives that strengthen the attraction and retention of medical graduates in rural and regional communities.

  • Build and maintain productive relationships with academic staff, clinicians, health services, government representatives and other key stakeholders to support program delivery and strategic objectives.

  • Provide governance and project support, including committee administration, preparation of high-quality reports and presentations, and evidence-based recommendations to inform future rural workforce planning and training initiatives.

About You

  • Degree qualifications in a health-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.

  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination, program administration and stakeholder engagement within a complex organisational environment.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, interpret and present data to support decision-making, reporting and program evaluation.

  • Proven ability to prepare high-quality reports, funding applications, submissions and briefing materials for diverse audiences.

  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience in medical education, health workforce planning, research, or rural and regional healthcare initiatives will be highly regarded.
