About the Role

Professional Learning Director

Remote

Client Experience, Teaching and Learning

United States

About the Role

As a Professional Learning Director (PLD), you will help Panorama clients build the knowledge, practices, and systems needed to effectively adopt our products and advance the student outcomes that led them to partner with us.

PLDs are exceptional facilitators, adult learning experts, and trusted education advisors. They develop a deep understanding of each client's goals, context, and current practices and use that understanding to design and lead professional learning and consultation that translates Panorama's products into meaningful educator practice.

This work requires connecting deep knowledge of Panorama's products with systems-level understanding of K-12 education. PLDs bring expertise in one or more areas such as multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), school climate and culture, attendance, or special education, while continually expanding their knowledge in response to client needs and emerging technologies, including AI.

PLDs partner with district and school leaders to define successful adoption, identify the practices and workflows needed to achieve it, and build educator capacity through high-quality professional learning, facilitation, and ongoing advising. Beyond individual learning experiences, PLDs help leaders translate learning into sustained practice by advising on systems, workflows, and barriers to adoption.

PLDs also serve as an important practitioner voice within Panorama, synthesizing what they learn from clients to strengthen our products, services, professional learning, and approach to client adoption.

Responsibilities

Drive Client Adoption and Impact

  • Build a comprehensive understanding of each client's goals, priorities, educational context, existing practices, and intended outcomes for their partnership with Panorama.
  • Partner with clients and internal teams to define successful adoption and identify the educator practices, workflows, and systems needed to achieve it.
  • Develop and execute client-specific professional learning and implementation strategies that build educator capacity, support product adoption, and advance client goals.
  • Advise school and district leaders on how to integrate Panorama products into existing practices and systems in sustainable, context-responsive ways.
  • Build strong relationships with key client stakeholders, establishing credibility as a trusted education and professional learning advisor.
  • Partner cross-functionally with other teams to support client health, retention, expansion, and impact.

Lead Exceptional Professional Learning

  • Design and facilitate engaging, high-quality in-person and virtual professional learning for diverse K-12 audiences, including educators, student support staff, school leaders, district leaders, and senior-level stakeholders.
  • Apply research-based adult learning practices and professional learning standards to create experiences that are relevant, active, and grounded in client goals.
  • Translate complex product functionality, educational practices, and systems-level concepts into clear, actionable learning.
  • Customize learning based on audience, client context, existing practices, product adoption, and desired outcomes while maintaining the integrity of Panorama's core learning objectives.
  • Facilitate learning that moves beyond product functionality to help participants determine how Panorama can support their roles, workflows, decisions, and work with students.
  • Create opportunities for participants to actively use Panorama products, apply learning to authentic problems of practice, and leave with clear next steps.
  • Promote inclusive practices by facilitating thoughtful data inquiry, modeling asset-based language and mindsets, and adapting approaches to client contexts.

Provide Systems-Level Education Advising

  • Bring systems-level understanding of K-12 education to client conversations, helping leaders connect Panorama products to the broader practices and systems required to achieve their goals.
  • Apply demonstrated expertise in one or more areas relevant to Panorama's clients, such as MTSS, school climate and culture, attendance and student success, or special education.
  • Advise clients on how Panorama can strengthen existing educational systems, workflows, and practices rather than create disconnected or duplicative processes.
  • Help leaders translate broad goals into actionable practices, routines, and workflows that educators can consistently implement.
  • Ask thoughtful questions, synthesize complex information, and identify opportunities to strengthen systems in ways that support product adoption and student outcomes.

Build and Apply Deep Panorama Product Expertise

  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of Panorama products, including their functionality, intended use cases, interconnectedness, and the educational practices they support.
  • Connect product functionality to client goals and educator workflows, helping clients understand not only how to use Panorama, but when and why particular tools can strengthen practice.
  • Stay current on evolving product functionality and proactively consider implications for client adoption and professional learning.
  • Build fluency with Panorama's AI-powered capabilities and help clients understand how to use them effectively and responsibly within their educational practices and workflows.
  • Use AI to increase the quality, efficiency, and scalability of professional learning, consultation, and other client support.

Maintain and Expand K-12 Education Expertise

  • Stay current on research, policy, practices, and emerging trends across the K-12 landscape and consider how changes may affect Panorama's clients and products.
  • Maintain and deepen expertise in one or more areas relevant to Panorama's work, such as MTSS, school climate and culture, attendance and student success, or special education.
  • Actively build knowledge outside existing areas of expertise as needed to support evolving client needs and Panorama products.
  • Contribute to the professional growth of the Teaching and Learning team by sharing knowledge, experiences, and resources.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of experience in K-12 education, either within a school or district or with an education-focused organization, with significant experience developing and facilitating learning for adults.
  • Demonstrated excellence facilitating engaging, actionable professional learning for diverse K-12 audiences, including educators and school and district leaders.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and the ability to translate complex concepts into learning experiences that lead to changes in educator knowledge and practice.
  • Experience supporting the implementation of new programs, practices, systems, or technology within K-12 environments, with an understanding of what it takes to move from initial learning to sustained adoption.
  • Systems-level understanding of K-12 education and demonstrated depth in one or more areas relevant to Panorama's work, such as MTSS, school climate and culture, attendance and student success, or special education.
  • Strong consultation, communication, and relationship-building skills, including the ability to establish credibility with education leaders.
  • Proficiency with emerging AI technologies and demonstrated ability to build with AI tools to create content, develop custom tools and workflows, and improve the quality, efficiency, and scalability of support for district and school leaders.
  • Ability to quickly learn new products, education domains, and emerging practices and apply that learning to client needs.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and advancing equitable outcomes for students and school communities.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 60%.
