About the Role

Title: Product Designer | Education | RVPR

Location: San Juan PR

Job Description:

This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our Santurce, PR office (Tuesday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Mondays and Fridays each week.

At Red Ventures, we marry data and design - pairing creative with powerful user behavior technology that helps us build better connections between brands and consumers. Our designers work directly with business analysts and data scientists to understand user behavior, build highly personalized digital experiences, and collect feedback in near-real-time. The lessons we learn inform new designs - producing websites that unlock enormous growth, inspire action in consumers, and look amazing in the process.

RV Education (EDU) is seeking a Product Designer and critical thinker to join our Creative Team. You'll play an instrumental role in scaling our consumer-facing experiences for a large and diverse audience. You will join the Education team in creating user-centered digital experiences that help people find the right online education program to meet their needs. The right candidate for this role will be highly-organized and collaborative, with a passion for solving problems cross-functionally. This role calls for an individual who has high attention to detail, understands design systems and following documented workflows, and is skilled in interface & interaction design.

We believe that diverse, inclusive teams are better teams. Think of the bullets below as guidelines: If you only partially meet the qualifications on this posting, we encourage you to apply anyway!

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver highly polished, scalable visual designs that extend and evolve our design system
  • Own projects from concept through launch - partnering with content, analysts, engineering, and design leads to deliver high-performing user experiences
  • Identify data-driven opportunities to improve on-site performance and proactively propose solutions that drive measurable impact
  • Think systematically to optimize UX/UI patterns for scalability, usability, and performance
  • Develop deep subject-matter expertise - understanding user problems, business goals, competitive landscapes, and where experience gaps exist
  • Translate insights from research, experimentation, and analytics into thoughtful design iterations
  • Build prototypes to validate ideas, test hypotheses, and refine solutions based on performance data and user feedback
  • Contribute to and evolve our design system by identifying improvements, strengthening patterns, and ensuring consistency across experiences
  • Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure high-quality implementation within our CMS and system constraints
  • Balance user needs and business objectives, advocating for both in cross-functional discussions
  • Take accountability for outcomes - not just outputs - and measure success through performance impact
  • Provide thoughtful critique and mentorship to other designers, elevating the quality of work across the team

What We're Looking For:

  • 2-3+ years designing consumer-focused digital experiences (experience in performance-driven environments is a plus)
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating polished visual design, clear interaction thinking, and creative strategy driving measurable impact
  • Fluency in Figma, prototyping, and working within (and evolving) design systems
  • Strong understanding of UX fundamentals, typography, hierarchy, and usability best practices
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, analysts, and content partners
  • Comfort using data and experimentation to inform decisions and iterate on solutions
  • Proactive ownership mindset - you take initiative and move work forward without waiting for direction
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate design rationale and tradeoffs
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while setting expectations and maintaining quality
  • High attention to detail and strong time management skills
  • Adaptability in a fast-moving, performance-driven environment
  • Growth-oriented mindset with openness to feedback and a desire to continuously improve
