Job Description
Make an Impact Where It Matters Most
The Contingency Management Therapist is responsible for individual service coordination for patients enrolled in the Contingency Management Program. In collaboration with the Program Director, the Therapist carries a patient caseload and supports the successful integration of medical care, substance abuse treatment, and other services within individual treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete screenings, biopsychosocial/substance use assessments, treatment plans, reassessments, discharge planning, and clinically appropriate referrals.
- Orient participants to CM program expectations, target behaviors, attendance requirements, weekly drug screening procedures, incentive opportunities, confidentiality, grievance processes, and participant rights/responsibilities.
- Collaborate with CM staff to support weekly drug screening workflows, including scheduling, result follow-up, documentation, and responses to missed, delayed, positive, or disputed screens.
- Use drug screening results and clinical presentation to guide treatment, reinforce progress, and respond therapeutically to recurrence of use or non-engagement.
- Document clinical services, CM participation status, incentive-related information, drug screen-related decisions, care coordination, safety concerns, and follow-up actions in the electronic health record within required timeframes.
- Coordinate care with internal team members and external providers, including but not limited to:
- MOUD/MAT providers
- Primary care
- Probation/court partners (when releases permit)
- Community resources
- Participant-identified supports
- Identify urgent safety or level-of-care concerns, including intoxication, withdrawal, suicidality, homicidally, aggression, or medical instability, and coordinate crisis, emergency, or higher level-of-care referrals when needed.
- Participate in supervision, case review, fidelity monitoring, quality assurance, and outcome reporting activities, including ASAM/SUPRT outcome measures and service task documentation.
- Maintain ethical boundaries, participant confidentiality, fairness in incentive access, cultural humility, and trauma-informed interactions with participants, families, staff, and community partners.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or other relevant field.
- Active Florida clinical license required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience (substance use, behavioral health, etc.).
- Successfully complete:
- Level II background screening.
- Local law check.
- Drug screen.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
Compensation
Starting Pay: $27.65 per hour (Higher depending on experience and education).
