About the Role
Licensed Clinical Therapist – School Based Mental Health (LCSW or LPC)
Location: Nashville, TN (hybrid — primarily virtual clinical services)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $75,000 – $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and licensure
Licensure Required: Active Tennessee LPC or LCSW State License
The Licensed Therapist provides clinical consultation services to school teams across our partner districts through InSite’s Tier 3 clinical escalation model. Working primarily via telehealth through the InSite Wellness Platform, this clinician supports school staff following threat assessments, advises on student intervention and return-to-school decisions, and provides referral pathways for students requiring ongoing care. This is a meaningful, high-impact role for a licensed therapist who wants to expand their reach beyond a traditional caseload and make a direct contribution to student safety and well-being across a large urban district.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Consultation
-
Provide licensed clinical consultation to school teams following school-initiated threat assessments, on request
-
Review available case information with the school team and advise on appropriate interventions, risk considerations, and next steps
-
Support return-to-school decisions by consulting with school staff on student readiness and appropriate conditions for return
-
Provide referral recommendations for students requiring ongoing clinical care beyond the school’s capacity
-
All consultation is advisory in nature — InSite clinicians support school teams’ decision-making without replacing the school’s own assessment process or judgment
Documentation and Quality
-
Document all consultations within the InSite Wellness Platform in accordance with FERPA, HIPAA, and InSite’s clinical documentation standards
-
Participate in monthly case quality reviews with InSite’s National Medical Director
-
Maintain clinical records in compliance with applicable Tennessee state law and professional licensing requirements
-
Complete InSite’s internal clinical onboarding and orientation within 30 days of hire
Collaboration
-
Work collaboratively with school counselors, psychologists, administrators, and InSite’s account management team
-
Coordinate with InSite’s BTAM Trainers when clinical consultation follows a school-initiated threat assessment
-
Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and professional development as required
