About us
How did Web Summit become, in the words of Forbes, “the best tech conference on the planet”? Meaningful connections. Our tech events are unmissable because we make it easier for the right people to meet and connect. Everyone at Web Summit works towards this goal.
And we’re just getting started.
We’re always looking to build on the impact we have already made at Web Summit. In the coming years we’ll take Web Summit to new markets, promoting global connectivity, highlighting important issues and connecting global leaders – all while making a positive impact on the environment and communities we encounter.
To build a better company, we have to better ourselves. We do that by finding the most ambitious people to work with us.
The Role:
Behind every speaker confirmed for Web Summit is a mountain of research, flawless logistics, and relentless follow-up. As a Junior Speaker Producer, you will be the right hand to our Senior Talent Bookers. This is an apprenticeship in the high-stakes world of global talent acquisition.
You will learn how to identify the next big thing, how to bypass gatekeepers, and how to manage the egos and expectations of the world’s elite. Your goal is to support the team producing big results while absorbing the skills to eventually close your own Tier-1 deals.
What you will achieve:
- Target Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive research on potential speakers, their recent announcements, and their pain points to craft the perfect pitch.
- Outreach Support: Draft compelling, high-level correspondence. You’ll be responsible for the first wave of outreach and keeping the momentum alive in long-lead threads.
- Administrative Excellence: Manage speaker data, track confirmation statuses, and coordinate the complex scheduling requirements of high-profile offices.
- Briefing & Preparation: Create ‘Speaker Dossiers’ for our team, ensuring that when we get a meeting with a VIP, we know everything about them.
- On-Site Support: During events, you’ll be on the ground, shadowing the Senior Producers and acting as a secondary point of contact for speakers to ensure their experience is world-class.
Who you are:
- The Ultimate Researcher: You can find the email address or the right Chief of Staff for a recluse billionaire in twenty minutes. You are a digital detective.
- Radically Organised: You thrive in the details. While the Senior Producers are out networking, you are ensuring the CRM is updated, the briefs are sharp, and nothing - absolutely nothing - falls through the cracks.
- Eager & Scrappy: You don't wait to be told what to do. You see a gap, and you fill it. You have hustle genes, but are currently looking for the mentorship to refine them.
- Unflappable: You can handle a fast-paced environment where priorities shift every hour. You take feedback well and view "not yet" as a challenge, not a defeat.
Skills we like:
- Experience: Fast-paced environment (PR, talent agency, journalism, events, TV, Radio, or high-end hospitality).
- Communication: Exceptional writing skills. You must be able to sound professional, persuasive, and succinct.
- Tech Savvy: Expert at LinkedIn, CRM tools, and finding info in the dark corners of the web.
- Curiosity: Willingness to learn, ask questions, and scale skills quickly.
- Personality: High Social IQ. You need to be someone people enjoy working with, even under intense pressure.
Benefits and perks:
- Subsidised healthcare, dental, employee assistance programme (EAP) and more.
- Pension contribution up to 6%(Irish based only)
- A dedicated in-house L&D department, with access to workshops, online learning and resources to help you excel in your career development.
- Company laptop, generous annual leave and flexible working arrangements.
- Our very own Tramway Team, which drives community and morale-boosting events for employees to participate in.
- Annual company get-togethers, charity days, and monthly wellbeing talks.
- Wellness subsidy issued to all employees of €1000 per year
