  • $121,095 to $136,286 (Dep on skill + exp.) + 12% superannuation

About the role

Join the Homelessness team within the Community Development Branch and play a key role in delivering meaningful social impact across the municipality.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of strategy, partnerships and community outcomes - bringing together government, service providers, housing organisations and internal stakeholders to help shape a more inclusive Melbourne.

As the Homelessness Partnerships Lead, you'll build strong collaborative relationships, lead strategic initiatives and support the delivery of Council's Homelessness Strategy.

You'll contribute to projects and partnerships that improve housing outcomes and strengthen support for people experiencing homelessness.

A little more about the role

  • Lead and strengthen partnerships across government, the homelessness sector, community organisations and internal teams to support the implementation of the Homelessness Strategy
  • Coordinate strategic projects, advocacy initiatives and partnership agreements to improve collaboration and service outcomes
  • Provide expert advice, insights and reporting on emerging homelessness issues, policy and opportunities for innovation
  • Support community awareness, engagement and education initiatives that build empathy and understanding
  • Prepare high-quality reports, briefs and strategic documents for senior stakeholders and decision-makers

What your experience might look like - Key Selection Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in social services, community development, communications, stakeholder management or related fields, or equivalent experience
  • Strong stakeholder management and partnership-building capability across government, community and sector organisations
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic project management, advocacy and service planning
  • Highly developed written, verbal and presentation skills, including experience preparing reports and briefings for senior stakeholders
  • Proven ability to analyse complex issues, influence outcomes and work collaboratively in sensitive environments
