Description
Position at Hearth & Home Technologies, LLC
Hearth & Home Technologies is looking for a Copywriter to join our Fireplaces Business Unit in Lakeville, Minnesota. We are the nation's leading manufacturer and supplier of hearth products, including a wide variety of gas, electric, wood and pellet burning fireplaces, inserts, stoves, and accessories. Headquartered in Lakeville, Minnesota, with distribution around the world, our innovative approach is supported by a business unit structure that allows us to develop and market products with a strong focus on customers' needs. Since 1996, we've been dedicated to connecting people through the warmth and comfort of our hearth products.
The Fireplaces Business Unit is one of our key business units within Hearth & Home Technologies, featuring leading brands such as Heat & Glo, Majestic, Heatilator, and more. This business unit is dedicated to advancing fireplace technology and design, reflecting our commitment to exceptional quality and comfort.
As our Copywriter you can turn product details into stories people can feel. In this role, you will translate strategy, product innovation, and technical detail into clear, memorable work that earns attention and builds preference for our brands.
You will lead product-launch messaging, help shape campaign ideas, and bring a consistent voice to experiences across digital and traditional channels. If you are a thoughtful storyteller, collaborative creative partner and curious problem-solver who enjoys making complex ideas feel simple and human, we would love to see your work. Apply and share a portfolio that shows how you think, not just what you write.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop campaign concepts and copy for websites, digital advertising, social media, email, events, point-of-sale materials, promotions and other marketing channels
- Lead product-launch messaging and develop Product Content Guides that keep messaging, product claims and brand positioning consistent across consumer touchpoints
- Translate creative briefs into strong concepts and polished deliverables, and present creative concepts and final work to partners and stakeholders
- Turn complex product and technical information into clear, compelling, consumer-friendly messaging
- Apply search engine optimization (SEO) best practices, artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled tools and modern content-development methods while protecting originality, accuracy, quality and brand integrity
- Partner with Brand, Marketing and Product teams to connect creative work to business and brand objectives
- Serve as a trusted resource for brand voice, verbal standards and creative quality
- Identify opportunities to refresh, simplify, expand or retire content
- Help audiences discover, understand and choose our brands through writing that informs, inspires and drives action
Minimum Requirements
- Five or more years of professional copywriting experience and a portfolio demonstrating strong copy, conceptual thinking and campaign development
- A bachelor's degree in journalism, English, communications or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience writing across digital and traditional channels, including storyboards or video scripts
- Ability to translate technical or product information into compelling consumer-facing messaging
- Working knowledge of proofreading practices, brand standards, style guides, search engine optimization and artificial intelligence fundamentals
- Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and using a platform such as Asana, Basecamp, Workfront, Wrike or a similar system
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong conceptual thinking, organization, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting product launches, consumer brands or durable goods
- Business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) marketing experience
- Social media and content marketing experience
- Experience with Sitecore, WordPress or another content management system
- Familiarity with product naming processes
