Description of Work
This position is housed in the Rocky Mount Unit Office.
Job Duties:
- Assist in the placement of eligible consumers in compatible and competitive employment that is consistent with their interests and abilities.
- Work closely with counselors to determine appropriate vocational goals for consumers and identify the availability of similar positions.
- Teaching employment marketing classes to work-ready consumers.
- Presentations to businesses and community partners, meet with local and regional employers to better understand their business needs, explain agency mission and goals and to obtain their agreement and commitment to hire vocational rehabilitation (VR) consumers.
- Providing consistent written and verbal feedback to counselors regarding the progress of referred consumers' efforts to obtain employment.
- Participate in job fairs and other community events to promote and present the agency and its consumers as well as represent the work unit on boards/committees as designated by the Unit Manager.
- Marketing on the job training and internships to employers when applicable, as well as marketing and presenting Windmills Disability Awareness Training to local employers.

Salary Grade Range $35,596 - $62,294
Recruitment Range $35,596 - $52,000
Position is eligible for a hybrid-teleworking schedule to include weekly onsite work hours

Bachelor's degree in a human services or business field such as human resources, marketing, business administration, business management, healthcare management, or public administration from an appropriately accredited institution; or

Associate's degree in a human services or business field (identified above) from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related work experience; or

High school or General Educational Development (GED) and four years of directly related work experience; or
-
an equivalent combination of education and experience.
