About Joni and Friends

Joni and Friends, founded in 1979 and headquartered at the International Disability Center in Agoura Hills, California, is a global ministry dedicated to reaching people and families living with disability. Guided by a mission to glorify God by communicating the Gospel and mobilizing the global church, the organization specializes in providing mobility through its Wheels for the World™ program, distributing Bibles, hosting retreats and getaways for individuals and caregivers, training churches to embrace disability ministry, and producing radio broadcasts, podcasts, and disability research. Throughout its history, Joni and Friends has distributed hundreds of thousands of wheelchairs and Bibles, welcomed tens of thousands of participants at its retreats, and earned recognition as a four-star charity by Charity Navigator, as well as a Best Christian Workplace since 2006.
