The User Services Specialist will provide high quality customer service to the campus community by encouraging, facilitating, and monitoring the circulation and usage of the Library's collections and spaces.
Oversees the building security and safety issues and manages building facility issues during acting supervisor shifts.
Provides patron assistance at the service desk.
Supervises student assistants and assists with student training development.
Assist with shared department service responsibilities, stacks projects, and inventory processes.
Required Qualifications
Associates degree or equivalent
One (1) year related work experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High level of proficiency using computer systems and standard office software tools
(email, Word, Excel, etc.).
Demonstrated high-quality customer service experience.
A valid Utah driver's license is a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supervising others.
Experience working at a library or at a higher education institution.

Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading., Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment. , Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services,) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection).
