Inside the Role
The Vocational Training Analyst is a member of the Vocational & Medium Duty (MD) Marketing and Strategy team responsible for supporting the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs for internal stakeholders, dealers, and Truck Equipment Manufacturers (TEMs) across the Freightliner and Western Star brands.
This role supports product knowledge, sales effectiveness, and customer experience initiatives through training content development, learning management system administration, communications, and in-person training events. The Vocational Training Analyst partners closely with Product Marketing, Field Sales, Dealer Development, and DTNA Training teams to equip stakeholders with the knowledge and tools necessary to successfully promote, specify, and sell vocational and medium-duty products.

Position offers a starting salary range of $78,000.00 - $100,000.00 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of DTNA products, services, tools, and resources, with an emphasis on vocational and medium-duty applications.
- Support the development and execution of training strategies for dealer sales teams and DTNA sales personnel
- Develop and maintain training content related to Freightliner and Western Star vocational products, truck specification, upfit integration, product features and benefits, and truck selling skills.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Product Marketing, and Segment Strategy teams to identify training needs and develop effective learning materials and communications.
- Create storyboards, scripts, job aids, surveys, and other learning assets to support both digital and instructor-led training.
- Build, publish, and maintain online training modules using learning development tools such as Articulate and our Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Administer the Vocational segment of the New Truck Sales Campus, including learner records, course management, content uploads, reporting, and dealer rooftop maintenance.
- Analyze training participation, completion, and feedback data to measure effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, and support continuous enhancement of vocational training programs.
- Coordinate and develop vocational training communications, including monthly newsletters, training announcements, and stakeholder updates.
- Manage the Vocational Training inbox and serve as a primary point of contact for dealer training inquiries.
- Lead and facilitate virtual training sessions and webinars for internal stakeholders, dealers, and TEMs, delivering engaging learning experiences and supporting participant knowledge retention.
- Maintain the Vocational Sales Hub and ensure training resources, schedules, and assets remain current and accessible for internal Sales Teams.
- Support and co-facilitate dealer and DTNA sales training events, ride-and-drives, webinars, and other experiential learning opportunities.
- Partner with DTNA Training teams to support enterprise-wide training initiatives and promote alignment across vocational, medium-duty, and on-highway training programs.
Knowledge You Should Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Education, or a related field and 2-4 years of relevant experience in training, communications, marketing, sales enablement, product support, or a related field, or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree, is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into engaging learning content.
- An attached resume is required.
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
- Experience developing training materials, digital learning content, or instructional communications.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training analytics tools.
- Knowledge of commercial vehicles, vocational applications, dealer operations, or truck equipment manufacturing is preferred.
