Job Description:
Across our global Neuroscience organization, we advance care for some of medicine’s most complex neurological and spinal conditions. We are seeking a committed professional to join our team. While this is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver's license is essential for this role.
Our Neuromodulation Operating Unit provides advanced therapies for chronic pain, movement disorders, and other neurological conditions. Through spinal cord stimulation, deep brain stimulation, and targeted drug delivery systems, we deliver personalized treatments that restore function, reduce symptoms, and improve quality of life worldwide.
At Medtronic, the Therapy Awareness Consultant is responsible for driving therapy penetration and new user adoption of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy (DPN) in existing and new accounts. Through job related synergies in technical expertise, rep training, and end user training, this individual will drive DPN through their technical and sales aptitude. This individual will also represent Medtronic in accordance with its policies and in the area assigned, maintaining an awareness of local competitive conditions and report back promptly to the Pain Interventions leadership team.
This is a field based role.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

Drive therapy awareness and remove barriers to patient access of approved treatments.

Enhance and develop indication awareness within:

Primary Care, General Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine

Endocrinology
-
Podiatry
-
Neurology
-
Spine surgeons
-
Other

Engage and educate existing or prospective HCP’s and staff on the value, data/evidence, and opportunity to offer different pain interventional therapies to patient’s suffering from chronic pain

Provide patients and primary providers approved resources, information, and guidance to help improve access to care

Assist local team in communicating with treating physician and primary physician

Serve as a district resource to help team members expand and implement therapy awareness programs

Conduct therapy advocacy and awareness activities and inservices with prospective patients

Qualifications
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 6+ years experience*

OR Associate’s Degree AND 4+ years experience*

OR Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years experience*
*Relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.
Nice to Have:

Pharmaceutical sales experience

Existing relationships with key PCP, Endocrinology, Podiatry, Neurology accounts

Market development experience for therapies/procedures

Knowledge of DPN and SCS disease state(s) and/or neuromodulation therapies

Experience with patient interaction/education

Strong understanding of healthcare referral pathways and networks

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Strong organizational skills, including strong follow-up and follow-through

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):105,000-105,000
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals.
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
