About the Role
Title: Technical Coordinator
Location: US, Remote
Job Description: United States
GovCIO is seeking a motivated Technical Coordinator to support programs serving the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This role is ideal for a developing professional who is comfortable in fast-paced environments and eager to grow their experience working with government stakeholders, supporting program execution, and contributing to mission-critical initiatives. This position is fully remote withing the continental United States.
Responsibilities
- Support program leadership in managing activities across one or more workstreams within VA programs.
- Serve as a point of contact for stakeholders, building strong working relationships and ensuring clear, consistent communication.
- Assist in coordinating program activities, tracking deliverables, and ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
- Help identify risks, issues, and dependencies; support development and execution of mitigation plans.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams as required to ensure timely and compliant delivery of work.
- Contribute to program reporting, including preparing status updates, briefings, and documentation for leadership.
- Participate in cross-functional team efforts, supporting collaboration and accountability across stakeholders.
- Assist with maintaining compliance with contractual, regulatory, and cybersecurity requirements.
- Support internal program operations, including staffing coordination, documentation, and process improvements.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required (or commensurate experience).
- 5 years of program or project management experience, preferably supporting federal government clients.
- Familiarity with the Department of Veterans Affairs or other federal agencies is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members. - Ability to manage competing priorities and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in dynamic situations.
- Basic understanding of federal contracting environments and compliance requirements.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience supporting programs with cybersecurity, information assurance, or compliance components.
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks, ATO processes, or federal security requirements.
- Experience working with cross-functional or technical teams.

Posted Salary Range
USD $130,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr.
