Posting Summary
The Department of Statistics in the School of Arts and Sciences seeks outstanding applicants for Lecturer (formerly Part-Time Lecturer-PTL) positions for Statistics courses. Instruction is for a full course, undergraduate or graduate level. The successful candidate(s) will perform services associated with that course: prepare and submit syllabi, grade examinations and papers, provide timely student feedback, respond to students’ emails, meet during assigned office hours and adhere to grade submission policies and deadlines. This position will report to the Department Chairperson.
The successful candidate must have a Masters’, preferably Ph.D. degree in Statistics or related field, and/or relevant industry experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a prerequisite. Prior teaching experience or evidence of teaching effectiveness is required.
