In this role, you'll:
Work as part of a team delivering safer, more efficient, and more reliable road network performance. 
You will contribute to optimisation activities that support one of the largest and most complex transport systems in Australia.
This role will see you develop and deliver Systems Engineering solutions to optimise traffic signal operations, analysing technical designs, operations systems and undertaking data analytics. You will assess PTIPS, SCATS, Cornerstone and other platforms to identify and develop network optimisation opportunities and provide evidence-based recommendations.
You’ll work closely with cross functional specialists, gaining exposure to real-world network management challenges and opportunities to build deep technical expertise in traffic engineering and intelligent transport systems.
You will identify and implement operational improvements that enhance network performance, public transport priority, safety, and user experience fast changing, multi modal, and data driven environment.
This is a permanent Hybrid role with five days a month to be spent at our Parramatta Office and a further five days to be spent at either the Parramatta office, or another TfNSW location. You will have the option to work from home the other days.

About you
You will have a strong analytical mindset, be focused on attention to detail, and foundational knowledge of traffic engineering and network optimisation formed across experience in transport management, traffic operations, infrastructure delivery, or related technical fields.
You will be a strong problem solver and collaborator, skilled at interpreting traffic data, preparing technical documentation, and working with diverse stakeholders, and experienced in traffic management systems, SCATS operations, data analysis, or technology enabled transport solutions.
Tertiary qualification in related discipline or equivalent experience in transport management and traffic engineering practice
