About the Role
We're hiring a Software Developer to support a national certification organization during an active website and platform modernization. You'll build, maintain and improve public websites, APIs, mobile apps and databases used by professionals and stakeholders across the country. This is hands-on work where you'll write new code and also keep production systems stable and fast.

What You'll Do

• Develop, test, debug and maintain application code with a focus on reliability, security and maintainability
• Maintain and enhance public websites, RESTful APIs, mobile applications and other technology solutions
• Support databases and related application components, troubleshooting issues and putting fixes in place
• Monitor production applications and respond to errors, performance issues and urgent problems
• Help analyze business requirements and contribute to the technical design of code, database and application solutions
• Improve the performance and efficiency of existing applications and databases
• Install and configure software and application components for development and operations
• Provide technical support and training to end users
• Create and maintain technical and procedural documentation

What You Bring

• 3 years of experience in software development or IT
• Coding bootcamp, associate's degree in IT, or an equivalent mix of education and experience
• Hands-on experience with ASP.NET Core, C#, ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server, LINQ, RESTful APIs and JSON
• Front-end experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and Bootstrap
• Experience with AWS</li>
• Strong problem-solving skills and the initiative to own issues through to resolution
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and hit deadlines
• Clear communication with both technical and non-technical users

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field
• Experience with website or platform modernization projects
• Experience supporting production systems in a regulated or public-sector environment

Additional Details

• Office-based work environment
• Occasional travel of about 5 nights per year
