Infor is seeking an Associate Software Engineer for Android Development who contributes to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of product modules and mobile application features. This role works closely with experienced engineers to build technical expertise while supporting software quality through unit testing, debugging, and issue resolution. The Associate Software Engineer participates in the development lifecycle, assists with troubleshooting activities, and supports implementation, testing, and product support efforts across development and customer environments to help ensure reliable and efficient product operation. 

A Typical Day in the Life Includes:

• Develop and maintain Android application features and product modules under the guidance of senior team members. 
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups to learn engineering best practices and contribute to team objectives. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, bugs, and technical issues with support from experienced engineers. 
• Assist in implementing enhancements, bug fixes, and customer-requested functionality. 
• Write and maintain unit tests to help ensure software quality and reliability. 
• Participate in integration testing, release testing, and beta support activities. 
• Collaborate with QA, Product Support, Product Management, and other development teams to understand requirements and resolve issues. 
• Follow established coding standards, development processes, and quality practices. 
• Support application deployment, build management, and CI/CD activities. 
• Develop knowledge of software architecture, mobile development frameworks, and enterprise application development. 
• Continuously expand technical skills and stay current with Android development technologies and industry best practices. 

Basic Qualifications:

• 0-2 years of experience in software development, product development, implementation, internships, cooperative education programs, or technical support. 
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 
• Foundational knowledge of software development methodologies, programming concepts, and object-oriented design principles. 
• Basic analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. 
• Understanding of software testing concepts and debugging techniques. 
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

• Experience or academic exposure in Android Mobile Applications development using the following: 
• Java Native
• Android Studio
• Android development using Java
• Eclipse
• HTML5, Javascript, CSS
• SQL
• Knowledge in Java OOP and Design patterns
