Role Overview
The Social Media Content Creator Coordinator is responsible for planning, creating, and publishing social content that supports business objectives. This role combines strategic social media coordination with hands-on content creation, including capturing, directing, and editing video, photography, and graphics. The position involves working with internal partners and regularly visiting various locations to capture content.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop social content from concept to completion, including ideation, creative briefs, storyboards, filming, editing, and on-time delivery.
- Capture photo and video content in both office and on-location environments.
- Build and maintain an editorial content calendar, including proposing schedules, coordinating timelines, seeking approvals, and publishing content.
- Write and refine social copy that motivates the target audience while maintaining brand voice and guidelines.
- Facilitate and support photo and video shoots to meet approval and publishing deadlines.
- Collaborate with internal partners to develop and capture necessary photo and video assets.
- Ensure all content meets brand guidelines and required approvals before posting.
- Measure, monitor, and report on social media performance, tracking market trends and best practices.
- Present calendars and creative concepts to leadership and stakeholders.
- Ideate, research, and design graphics for social media, marketing, and communications as needed.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
- Prior professional experience in social media, digital content creation, or video production.
- Proven experience capturing and editing videos and photos in a professional setting.
- Experience creating storyboards using sketches, images, and words.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced, proven video editing skills and working knowledge of professional camera equipment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; experience with Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
Soft Skills:
- Proven self-starter with the ability to balance multiple priorities with minimal direction.
- Strong organizational, partnering, and project coordination skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to solve complex business problems through creative and strategic solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated social media management experience, including strategy support, editorial calendar development, and copywriting.
- Passion for storytelling and staying current on emerging social and video trends.
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects or Audition.
- Graphic design experience.
- Experience organizing and directing photo/video shoots and leading projects.
