We’re looking for a staff cloud platform engineer who thrives on building scalable, cloud‑native systems and owning complex features end‑to‑end. In this role, you’ll work across backend services, frontend and mobile applications, and infrastructure, designing and delivering production‑ready solutions running at scale in AWS. You’ll collaborate closely with product, QA, and operations while maintaining strong individual ownership, contributing to systems that blend modern cloud architecture with real‑world IoT applications.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Qualified applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis.
Salary: $180,000-210,000 yr. w2 + Bonus
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services running in AWS.
- Contribute to system architecture and technical design for large-scale, distributed cloud deployments.
- Develop and maintain services using Node.js and other backend technologies.
- Design schemas and optimize query performance in PostgreSQL.
- Design, implement, and test infrastructure-as-code using AWS CDK.
- Build and maintain frontend applications using React.
- Contribute to mobile applications built with React Native for Android and iOS.
- Develop software components in JavaScript/Node.js, Python, Rust, and C/C++ as needed.
- Ensure high standards of code quality, testing, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with product, QA, and operations while maintaining strong individual ownership.
- Own development, testing, deployment, and production readiness for assigned tasks.
Experience Requirements:
- Staff-level software development experience building cloud-based systems.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud architecture.
- Deep knowledge of AWS services and cloud-native design patterns.
- Experience writing, testing, and maintaining AWS CDK scripts.
- Expertise in IP networking, including TCP/IP and related protocols.
- Proven ability to work across the full stack: backend, frontend, infrastructure, and deployment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Experience with large-scale, production cloud platforms (preferred).
- Experience with IoT, device-integrated, or data-intensive systems (preferred).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments (preferred).
- Experience with performance tuning and observability in cloud environments (preferred).
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
