You will work across cloud-native architectures, modern development frameworks, and distributed systems while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. In addition to contributing hands-on technical expertise, you will mentor junior engineers, promote engineering best practices, and help drive innovation through modern software development methodologies and AI-assisted engineering tools.

  • Complete and troubleshoot complex bug fixes while ensuring application reliability and performance.

  • Collaborate closely with development teams, architects, product managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Implement and promote development processes, coding standards, code reviews, and software engineering best practices.

  • Operate effectively in various development environments, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

  • Design and work with complex data models, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and performance.

  • Resolve complex technical issues across distributed systems and cloud-based environments.

  • Mentor and train less-experienced software engineers, supporting their technical growth and development.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and software development innovations.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across architecture, development practices, and engineering processes.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of Software Engineering experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience required.

  • Advanced proficiency in Java (Spring Boot), JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, React)

  • Deep experience designing and maintaining microservices architectures.

  • Strong experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes/EKS.

  • Advanced knowledge of AWS cloud services, including ECS/Fargate, EKS, S3, Lambda, and RDS.

  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture tradeoffs, scalability, performance optimization, and cost management.

  • Strong knowledge of modern software delivery practices, including trunk-based development, automated deployments, and progressive delivery.

  • Experience with API Gateway technologies and authentication/authorization frameworks such as OAuth, JWT, Kong, or Keycloak.

  • Advanced knowledge of observability and monitoring solutions including New Relic, Coralogix, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana.

  • Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling principles, and query optimization techniques.

  • Experience implementing Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and maintaining automated quality gates.

  • Working knowledge of event-driven and streaming architectures such as Kafka.

  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar technologies.

  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external technology resources.
