- Temporary fulltime role until Jan 2030 at 35 hours per week plus FlexTime

- Salary range from $129,464 to $142,665 plus super and leave loading
EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.
A recruitment pool may be created for ongoing and temporary opportunities of the same role or role type that may become available over the next 18 months.
About the Opportunity
EnergyCo NSW is seeking a Senior Projects Communications Advisor to support the delivery of the New England Renewable Energy Zone.
Working closely with the project team and EnergyCo's Community Engagement and Media team, you will support proactive and reactive communications, assist with issues management and help deliver clear, timely messaging in a complex regional project environment. The role includes media liaison, Ministerial and Parliamentary requests, coordinating responses to enquiries and contributing to integrated communication activities across media, digital and community channels.
You will work within established NSW Government frameworks, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure communications are accurate, consistent and aligned with government requirements.

About You
You are an experienced communications professional with a strong understanding of media relations in complex or high-profile environments. Experience working in government, infrastructure and/or energy projects is highly regarded.
You bring sound judgement, can manage competing and changing priorities in a high-output environment, and are comfortable providing advice and practical support to project teams.
You have experience developing media and communication materials, supporting issues management and working across digital and traditional channels. You are organised, adaptable and able to work independently while contributing as part of a broader team.
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, social media, public relations and/or equivalent experience.
- Capacity and willingness to travel to regional locations, and to work outside of core business hours in the evening and on weekends.
- Current Australian Drivers licence (Class C minimum).

The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy. EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).
EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government's Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state's electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State's first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
