Our client requires a senior Business Analyst to serve as the liaison between business units and IT, translating business needs into clear requirements and conceptual designs for technology solutions. The role focuses on claims insurance, with Guidewire Claims Center experience highly desired.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $55.00 to $65.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Capture, analyze, and document business and user requirements.
- Facilitate meetings with IT and business unit management and staff.
- Understand the business domain, processes, systems, data, and linkages to create project deliverables.
- Participate in or lead business process analysis to identify requirements.
- Partner with test teams to prepare testing strategies and execution plans, ensuring test cases map to requirements.
- Provide guidance for reporting documentation and how-to requirements.
- Participate in Business Analysis Center of Excellence activities and adhere to best practices.
- Engage in all project lifecycle phases to ensure business requirements are understood, documented, and met.
- Define or refine business needs for new or enhanced products, services, or optimized processes.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and consult to understand goals and objectives.
Experience Requirements:
- Three or more years of business analysis experience supporting medium-sized initiatives.
- Detail oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Effective meeting facilitation.
- Clear and effective writing with experience creating technical documentation.
- Experience eliciting requirements.
- Skilled in collaborative facilitation methods.
- Advanced knowledge of business modeling tools, including process and workflow modeling.
- Knowledge of writing test cases and test plans.
- Advanced user of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Insurance domain experience preferred, with Guidewire Claims Center background highly desired.
- Experience with agile methods preferred.
Education Requirements:
University degree, college diploma, or equivalent business experience.
