The organization seeks a Senior API Developer to design, develop, and maintain APIs and system integrations across a digital ecosystem. The role will utilize Microsoft Azure services including API Management, Application Gateway, Logic Apps, and C#/.NET to deliver secure and scalable solutions. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to integrate platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, Paycom, BlackLine, Jira, and ServiceNow while mentoring teammates and promoting best practices. The position emphasizes secure architecture, performance, CI/CD automation, and reusable API libraries.

Rate: $55.00 to $70.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs and integrations using Azure services such as APIM, Logic Apps, Application Gateway, and C# API applications.
- Provide guidance and mentor junior developers and advocate for API design best practices and improvements.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to gather integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Work with Project Managers and Scrum Masters to plan and schedule API development for projects.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration performance and reliability.
- Maintain technical documentation for APIs, integration workflows, development processes, and standards.
- Ensure security, scalability, and compliance of integration solutions in partnership with the information security team.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes, implementing CI/CD to automate pipelines.
- Implement automated tests to reduce regression time and partner with QA on validation and UAT plans.
- Build a reusable API library in collaboration with Applications and Data teams to reduce point-to-point integrations.
Experience Requirements:
- 10+ years of development experience with languages such as C#.
- 5+ years of API development and system integration.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure integration services.
- Proficiency in C# and .NET for API development.
- Strong understanding of Azure API Management, Logic Apps, and Application Gateway.
- Experience with RESTful, SOAP, Streaming, and Bulk APIs and associated security practices.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Git, and Azure DevOps.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and time management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively.
- Experience with identity and authentication management.
- Experience working with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, and Microsoft Dynamics (preferred).
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
