Job Description:

Purpose

The purpose of the Regional Commercial Director is to provide product expertise and strategic direction for assigned sales region.

 

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks

Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.   

                

  1. Essential Functions
  1. Achieve growth and hit annual regional sales budget by successfully managing the sales team.
  2. Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensures that the business unit has a strong presence in the marketplace.
  3. Responsible for recruiting new sales reps, setting their annual objectives, coaching and performance monitoring of sales reps. Adjust account assignments where needed.
  4. Work with the corporate team to set a positive tone between the sales team and customer service, credit, logistics and product management.
  5. Review all documents from customers that may need legal review including contracts, supply/rebate agreements, consignments agreements and customer terms and conditions/quality manuals.
  6. Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs and communicating those needs internally and to our supply partners.
  7. Work with sales team to present and achieve an accurate volume & margin budget on an annual basis.
  8. Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.

  9. Must be able to provide the right balance of guidance/support and autonomy, based upon employees’ level of skills, knowledge and competence.

 

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications

  1. Education:
    1. Bachelor's degree required
  2. Experience:
    1. Minimum of 7+ years of relevant work experience in similar title and scope of responsibility - required
  3. Licenses / Certifications:
    1. Valid driver’s license – required
  4. Language:
    1. Proficiency in English required
    2. Bi-Lingual – Spanish is a plus

Compensation: $150,000-$180,000 DOE and bonus eligibility.
