Overview
This position is Hybrid: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote, with flexibility to vary.
Schedule: Day Shift
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: Project Heal is CHLA's trauma psychology program, working with children and families who have been referred for mental health services as a result of exposure to traumatic events. These events can include medical trauma, child abuse, exposure to family or community violence, or immigration trauma. The Licensed Psychologist I, provides mental health evaluation and treatment for children, adolescents, and families in the department or division's area of focus. Provides psychological/developmental assessments as needed. May provide individual and group supervision to pre- and postdoctoral psychology trainees. Teaching duties include didactic presentations; community presentations; and participation in staff/supervisor meetings at which teaching & training programs are developed.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
Required:
- Supervised professional experience providing therapy to a child, adolescent, and/or pediatric psychology population.
Preferred:
- Previous consultation and liaison experience within a medical setting.
- Knowledge of the various psychosocial aspects of commonly referred medical conditions.
- Experience supervising trainees.
- Training in Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP).
- Experience conducting psychological and developmental assessments.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D., in School, Counseling, or Clinical Psychology; prefer education from an APA-accredited program. Licensed Psychologist in the State of California or license eligible where applicants must have received completed their licensure by their anticipated start date. American Heart Association BLS Certification required.
Pay Scale Information
$115,003.20-$130,000.00

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.
