Job Description:

The Project Manager is a positive, energetic and enthusiastic Project Manager who is flexible and nimble and can manage multiple projects at one time.  This person must love a fast-paced and complex environment and must be a solid team player.  This role requires self-motivation and independent thinking combined with high levels of collaboration among many IFAW development teams and external partners. 

This person will manage the daily coordination and scheduling of all printed projects for the Direct Marketing team to ensure that all deadlines are met.  This position will support the Production Manager as needed to ensure projects are kept on schedule.

Role and Responsibilities 

  • Manage the schedule for all of IFAW’s Direct Marketing Printed Materials.
  • Create and establish schedules to ensure the on-time delivery of artwork and copy development to the Production team and all final materials to various printers.
  • Schedule and lead meetings to facilitate the trafficking of new and edited materials between internal staff and external contractors.
  • Collaborate with members of the direct marketing team to keep projects moving along to achieve stated deadlines and keep team aware of potential resource and/or timing issues.
  • Collaborate with Copy and Design Director to assign copywriters, designers, and external contractors to all printed projects.
  • Collaborate with the Fundraising team to understand each project and to make sure projects are approached in a holistic manner.
  • Work with the Creative Team and Designer to ensure art is created in line with specifications provided by the Production Team.
  • Source images and illustrations, negotiate prices, purchase, and ensure adherence to licensing agreements.
  • Regularly review processes for efficiency and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage special projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements 

  • Expertise in Asana, MS Office Suite, and Adobe Suite
  • A proven track record and three or more years of progressive experience in a similar position or in a creative and/or advertising agency.
  • Must be highly organized and self-motivated to meet critical deadlines. Must be able to work under pressure, while coordinating several projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to influence and motivate others.
