LoveVeg Program Manager

REMOTE

$60,000 ‒ $65,000 Annually

Position Location: Remote in the U.S.

Summary:

The Program Manager leads Animal Equality’s U.S. plant-based food initiative, Love Veg, with the responsibility of developing strategic content campaigns that inspire people in the United States and Canada to reduce animal product consumption and adopt plant-based foods.

This position oversees high-impact digital and public-facing initiatives designed to grow Love Veg’s reach, relevance, and influence across U.S. audiences. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled content creator who is a natural on camera and experienced in translating food, trends, and behavior-change insights into compelling campaigns that drive measurable engagement.

General responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute, alongside the Communications Manager, strategic content campaigns that promote plant-based eating through Love Veg, U.S.
  • Create high-quality digital, shareable content across web, email, and social platforms, including written, visual, and video content
  • Serve as a visible spokesperson for Love Veg in public-facing content, including on-camera videos and digital storytelling
  • Produce highly engaging plant-based food content, including recipe videos, practical cooking tips, meal inspiration, and audience-centered storytelling that encourages lasting dietary change
  • Coordinate and maintain Love Veg webpages and digital channels, ensuring regular publication of recipes, articles, campaign content, and seasonal features
  • Lead content planning calendars and identify timely content opportunities tied to food trends, seasonal moments, and campaign priorities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align Love Veg messaging with broader campaign priorities
  • Develop and lead plant-based campaigns that mobilize public support and encourage food sector companies to adopt more plant-based policies and offerings
  • Track and analyze traffic, engagement, conversions, and campaign performance to optimize results
  • Facilitate audience surveys and content feedback initiatives to improve audience relevance
  • Build and cultivate relationships with supporters, creators, chefs, influencers, and aligned public voices who can expand Love Veg’s visibility
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen audience acquisition, retention, and brand awareness
  • Work with international teams when collaboration opportunities arise
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in digital campaigns, content strategy, communications, or audience engagement
  • Demonstrated success in creating content that drives audience growth and measurable engagement
  • Strong on-camera presence and confidence appearing in video content
  • Enthusiasm for home cooking, recipes, and practical food preparation is a plus
  • Good writing skills with the ability to create clear, engaging, audience-focused content
  • Strong understanding of digital storytelling, social content trends, and content performance
  • Experience with SEO, social media metrics, and digital analytics
  • Ability to interpret performance data and improve campaigns based on findings
  • Experience managing content calendars and multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong familiarity with plant-based food trends, consumer behavior, and food-related content
  • Ability to create or direct compelling food content, including recipes and practical lifestyle content
  • High degree of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital content tools
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strategic thinking, creativity, and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Willingness to work additional hours when needed to meet deadlines
  • Candidates must be able to sit for extended periods of time in front of a screen and type
  • Furthermore, a valid driver’s license is beneficial
  • This position requires occasional travel

Salary and Benefits:

$60,000 to $65,000 gross per year.  Benefits package includes 100% employer-covered health, dental, vision insurance, paid parental leave, a generous vacation package, paid sick time, 1 paid volunteer day per year, 2 floating holidays, and 401(k) with partial employer match.

Work Hours and Overtime:

This is a full-time, salaried, overtime-exempt position. Standard work hours are expected to be approximately forty (40) hours per week. Actual schedules may vary based on operational needs.
