Position Summary Information

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in music (Piano Performance, Collaborative Piano, or Music Education, or related field)
  • Experience working in a collegiate or secondary choral setting
  • Experience accompanying and enjoyment of diverse repertoire including classical, modern, and popular styles
  • Ability to coach basic vocal technique consistent with the methods of the Vocal Music Instructor

General Summary

The Piano Accompanist provides musical accompaniment for the college's chamber choir, Spectrum, and other activities within the Fine Arts Programs. This position supports rehearsals (including sectionals), performances, auditions, and related instructional activities. The accompanist collaborates closely with the Vocal Music Instructor to enhance student learning, musical artistry, and overall program excellence.
