About the Role
Title: Paid Social Strategist | The Points Guy
Location: New York, NY United States
Job Description:
This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our New York, NY office (Tuesday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Mondays and Fridays each week.
The Points Guy is seeking an experienced and analytically rigorous Paid Social Strategist to help drive acquisition goals within the Finserv and Travel sectors. This role will focus on managing paid social campaigns to drive core KPIs aligned with broader business objectives and unit economics. You'll optimize campaigns to drive growth, communicate insights to internal stakeholders, and dive deep into performance data, visitor behavior, attribution models, and advanced analytics to inform testing strategy. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally with experts in the travel industry and own testing roadmaps that drive business impact and long-term growth.
What You'll Do:
- Own and optimize paid social campaigns to drive customer acquisition and complex conversion funnel performance at scale, with a focus on Meta Ads.
- Continuously analyze performance data, surfacing actionable recommendations to improve campaign efficiency and profitability. Develop deep performance insights and propose data-backed creative asset strategy and testing roadmaps to improve the acquisition funnel.
- Translate complex performance data into clear, compelling insights that influence outcomes and tell the performance story to internal stakeholders.
- Continuously iterate through full-funnel testing, rigorously leveraging A/B and multivariate testing, to drive incremental improvements across core KPIs.
- Leverage analytical and visualization tools such as SQL, Databricks, LLMs, Hightouch, and Google Tag Manager to monitor, understand, and optimize paid social performance, attribution, and incrementally.
- Drive success within complex user journeys and data-restricted pipelines by leveraging platform tools and conversion bidding strategies with discernment, while building vendor relationships to maintain product innovation awareness.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design and business teams to optimize the end-to-end user journey-from impression to conversion.
What We're Looking For:
- 2-3 years of demonstrated experience executing paid social campaigns and managing performance for complex, always-on acquisition programs.
- Proficiency with Meta Ads, including running structured experiments, setting up conversion uploads, and optimizing bidding strategy. Experience with additional paid social platforms such as LinkedIn and TikTok Ads is a plus.
- Advanced Excel and SQL skills, with familiarity in data visualization tools such as Databricks. Familiarity with data transformation platforms such as Fivetran and Hightouch is a plus.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with a focus on performance marketing and growth economics. Ability to join and transform data from multiple sources to uncover insights beyond the standard marketing funnel.
- Strong communication skills and bias to action. Ability to work autonomously, prioritize projects based on impact, and translate insights into strategic roadmaps.
- Experience navigating attribution, incrementality, and reduced signal transparency as platforms evolve, with a willingness to dig deeper and problem-solve.
- Desire to work hands-on in a performance-driven, analytically rigorous environment. Passion for paid media marketing and awareness of emerging best practices, and tools in the space.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex analysis into actionable insights and effectively communicate recommendations to stakeholders.
