Join the School of Behavioral and Social Sciences as an Operations Coordinator, where you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting academic programs, faculty, and student success. Salary:
Pay range $24.90 - $26.89
Actual salary offered is determined by the candidate’s experience, education, skills, and other factors, including internal equity and university funding resources.

What You’ll Be Doing
-
Coordinate course scheduling across undergraduate and graduate programs, ensuring accuracy and alignment with institutional systems

Serve as a liaison between faculty, administration, and campus departments to streamline operations
-
Support recruitment and onboarding of faculty, adjuncts, and student workers
-
Plan and execute program events, including academic gatherings, conferences, and student activities
-
Manage program communications, including social media and outreach efforts
-
Track and analyze program data to support academic planning and assessment efforts
-
Assist in budgeting processes, expense tracking, and financial reporting
-
Oversee scholarship processes in collaboration with financial services
-
Provide administrative and logistical support for meetings, committees, and leadership initiatives
-
Deliver high-quality support to students by guiding them through policies, procedures, and available resources
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
-
One or more years of administrative experience.
-
Proficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Meet, Chat, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides), Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), and Workday.

Ability to compose written materials using correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, and format.
-
Strong organization skills, dependability in follow-through, adaptability, and ability to take initiative, work independently, make decisions, handle stress, maintain confidentiality of information.

Competent multi-tasking skills required, including being able to maintain work flow despite frequent interruptions.

Excellent interpersonal skills to relate to students, faculty, staff, and campus partners (including but not limited to, parents, donors, and alumni), and other members of the public with an affable and flexible disposition.

Willingness to support and enthusiastically engage with people from diverse walks of life, including students, staff, faculty, and School community partners.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and or two or more years of administrative, student success, supervisory, office management work experience, preferably in higher education.

Experience in coordinating groups of people, tasks, schedules, events, and physical spaces.

Proficiency in Google and Mac products, Workday, Coursedog, Canva, other products
Demonstrated understanding of social media and familiarity with current trends in social media. -
Familiarity with some artificial intelligence (AI) models and willingness to learn how to effectively use them in the workplace (for instance, an expressed willingness to attend training sessions).
Ability to quickly learn and assist in the implementation of new software.
Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work as a team player.
Physical Requirements

Sitting for periods greater than one hour.

Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor.

Vision to read documents, e-mail and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor.

Mobility that allows for movement between the buildings that house the programs in the School of Behavioral and Social Sciences.

Ability to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone.

Will also stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 25 lbs throughout the day.
