Job Summary
The Part-Time Occupational Therapist at Annunziata Learning Center provides therapeutic services to support students’ physical, sensory, and motor skill development that impacts their ability to participate fully in the educational environment. Working on a part-time schedule, this role collaborates with educators, families, and support staff to ensure students at Annunziata Learning Center can access the curriculum and achieve their individualized goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations, assessments, and interventions for students at Annunziata Learning Center on a part-time basis
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in alignment with IEPs and student needs at Annunziata Learning Center
- Support development of fine motor, sensory processing, self-regulation, and daily living skills for students at Annunziata Learning Center
- Collaborate with teachers and staff at Annunziata Learning Center to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom environment
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance with all applicable regulations and Annunziata Learning Center policies
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals and interventions as needed within Annunziata Learning Center programming
- Provide consultation and training to staff and families at Annunziata Learning Center regarding strategies to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and relevant professional development at Annunziata Learning Center, as appropriate for part-time staff
- Ensure therapy equipment and materials at Annunziata Learning Center are safe, organized, and effective for student use
- Uphold the mission, values, and student-centered approach of Annunziata Learning Center
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (required)
- Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting similar to Annunziata Learning Center
- Knowledge of IEP processes, therapeutic interventions, and special education compliance requirements
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to supporting the mission and student population of Annunziata Learning Center
Working Conditions
- Part-time, school-based position at Annunziata Learning Center with a flexible or defined schedule based on student needs
- Involves both individual and group therapy sessions at Annunziata Learning Center
- Requires physical movement, including lifting, positioning, and assisting students as needed
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams throughout Annunziata Learning Center
