Inside the Role
This exciting role will shape the way drivers perceive and interact with our product. As the Occupant Controls and Interface System Owner, you will define interactions between the driver and product and actively participate in a global team developing the definitive Freightliner/Western Star experience.

We Take Care of Our Team
Position offers a starting salary range of $117,000 – $150,000 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What You Drive
This role will be central to our new development projects, defining the specific controls and information interfaces for the users of our vehicles. The right candidate will:

Lead cross-functional teams to define the driver interface,
-
Own the Occupant Information system and be accountable for the instantiation of all implementations into the system definition,

Drive the implementation and roll out of the new Systems Engineering design process,
-
Be an expert in our documentation tool and teach/mentor fellow engineers in its usage.
Knowledge You Should Bring
-
Engineering degree or equivalent with 4-6 years of related experience required
-
Expert level Doors Next knowledge

Strong knowledge of both Occupant Controls and Occupant Information
-
Robust understanding of the function and use of commercial vehicles
-
Complete understanding of DTNA’s Systems Engineering process currently and desired future state

Excellent Documentation skills

Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences

Problem-solving skills

Excellent Teamwork

Strong desire to continuously improve
Exceptional Candidates will have

Interest in front-end UI/UX development and implementation

Experience teaching/coaching new tools and processes

Excellent organization and time-management skills

Understanding of CVDS and SE project milestones

Familiarity with Signavio or other process modelling tools
