Responsible for performing standard, complex and continuously recorded electroencephalographic, and special procedure EEG recordings in the EEG laboratory as well as continuous bedside long-term monitoring on all patient floors and intensive care units. Monitors additional physiological phenomena by means of appropriate techniques. Provides training and may participate in research projects.

Essential Functions
- Serves as a resource and role model for Neurophysiology Technologists and students, including patiently and properly training others at the Neurophysiology Technologists level as assigned.
- Enters and schedules EEG and LTM orders, enters billing information, researches and reconciles and billing questions as they relate to neurophysiology procedures.
- Applies electrodes to special patient populations such as pediatric and adult autism spectrum, Angelman's, ECMO, Neurosurgery and other complex patient populations in a calm and professional manner.
- Performs ACYSTE, SAH, TBI, Skin Integrity and Electrocebral Inactivity (ECI) protocols and changes headbox in accordance with protocol.
- Toggles between multiple modalities to perform a number of different procedures.
Qualifications
Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate''s Degree Neuroscience preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience Experience as a neurodiagnostic technologist in independent monitoring of continuous EEG 1-2 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Ability to be a Natus super user- including mastery of transitioning and using TREX, Brainmonitor and Quantum systems. - Ability to be an Epic super user- including competency in Worklist, snapboard, reading worklist optimization, special order entry, billing reconciliation, research billing, and outside hospital billing and reporting. - Ability to apply collodion, Cover-Roll, dMIR, REG and other modalities as needed. - Competent and comfortable in applying electrodes to special patient populations such as pediatric and adult autism spectrum, Angelman's, ECMO, Neurosurgery and other complex patient populations. - Ability to perform ACYSTE, SAH, TBI, Skin Integrity and Electrocerebral Silence protocols.
