Company Description

MEDFAR Clinical Solutions was founded in 2010 by two aeronautical engineers who realized that the healthcare system was not exploiting the full potential of technology. Supported by a large community of medical experts and focused on clinical success and patient safety, MEDFAR was the first company to certify a cloud-based Electronic Medical Record in Canada: MYLE (Make Your Life Easy).

Committed to promoting excellence and effectiveness in healthcare worldwide, MEDFAR differentiates itself by offering a unique healthcare management solution for clinics, which replaces inefficient processes with a faster and safer technological alternative.

Job Description

As a Mobile Software Developer II, you'll be part of MEDFAR's mobile team, building and evolving cross-platform applications across iOS, Android, and web that bring our healthcare platform to clinicians and their patients. Using React Native, you'll help deliver intuitive, reliable mobile experiences that support real-world clinical workflows.

You'll contribute to the design, implementation, and deployment of new features while continuing to sharpen your craft alongside experienced mobile developers. You bring solid hands-on experience with React Native, a growing sense of ownership, and a real interest in performance, quality, and the people who use what you build. You'll be surrounded by teammates who value collaboration, clean code, and continuous learning, and who are invested in your growth.

What You’ll Do

As a Mobile Software Developer II, you'll work across our mobile codebase to ship features that matter while growing your impact as a developer. You'll collaborate closely with your team and take on increasing ownership of the work you deliver. Specifically, you will:

  • Build Cross-Platform Features: Contribute to the design and development of mobile features in React Native that deliver value across iOS and Android, with a focus on performance and user experience

  • Make Thoughtful Technical Choices: Help evaluate components, libraries, and patterns that balance immediate needs with long-term maintainability

  • Write Quality Code: Develop clean, testable, and well-documented code, write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, and take part in code reviews to support team standards

  • Contribute to Better Processes: Share ideas to improve how we build, test, and release our mobile apps, and help streamline our delivery workflows

  • Collaborate and Learn: Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and senior mobile developers to deliver cohesive, user-focused experiences and grow your skills through mentorship

  • Own Your Work: Take responsibility for your tasks, follow through on commitments, and proactively raise questions or blockers to keep projects moving forward

Working Conditions:

  • Permanent full-time position (40 hours per week).

  • Flexible hybrid or remote work arrangement.

    • Occasional in-office presence may be required during the year.

    • Candidates must reside in the province of Quebec.

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • A college or university degree in software development, computer science, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience building and shipping mobile applications, including hands-on experience with React Native for cross-platform development

  • Familiarity with mobile architecture concepts and patterns, with experience implementing maintainable, performant features

  • Experience writing automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) and working with CI/CD pipelines for mobile delivery

  • Experience building responsive cross-platform UIs for iOS, Android, and web with React Native

  • Working knowledge of iOS and Android platform conventions and the mobile build and release process (app store publishing exposure is a plus)

  • Solid understanding of mobile performance optimization, debugging, and secure coding fundamentals

  • Familiarity with mobile accessibility best practices

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, comfortable in an agile, cross-functional environment

  • Fluency in English, French is a plus.
