Job Description: Mobile Automation QA Engineer (Hands-On Appium)Role OverviewWe are seeking a Mobile Automation QA Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Appium and Java to support mobile application testing across multiple client teams. This role focuses on developing, maintaining, executing, and debugging automated test scripts for both existing and upcoming iOS and Android applications.
The team is responsible for testing changes to the client's mobile platforms, including monthly releases and regression testing of existing applications. The ideal candidate will have proven experience building and maintaining mobile automation frameworks and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
The selected candidate will join an established team of 5–6 mobile automation engineers and report directly to Siva.
Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated mobile test scripts using Appium and Java.
  • Build new automated test cases for existing applications and upcoming mobile applications.
  • Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks and test scripts.
  • Perform automated testing across iOS and Android platforms.
  • Execute monthly release testing and regression testing to validate application functionality and platform changes.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and debug test failures, including flaky tests and automation framework issues.

Configure and execute automated tests on Android emulators, iOS simulators, and physical mobile devices.

  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Use shell scripting to support test execution, environment setup, and automation tasks.
  • Manage test automation code and collaborate with team members using Git and Bitbucket.
  • Work closely with the mobile QA team to improve automation coverage, reliability, and testing efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Approximately 5 years of experience in Mobile QA or Mobile QA Engineering.
  • Strong, hands-on experience developing and maintaining mobile test automation using Appium and Java.
  • Demonstrated experience automating tests for both iOS and Android applications.
  • Experience building, executing, debugging, and maintaining automated test scripts in a real-world project environment.
  • Understanding of mobile automation frameworks, test case design, and regression testing.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with shell scripting for test setup, execution, and task automation.

  • Developing and maintaining Java-based test scripts.
  • Automating functional and regression test cases for iOS and Android applications.
  • Integrating automated tests into Jenkins or another CI/CD pipeline.
