- 12 month contract, full time hours
- TCSA Salaried Employees Award, Clerk Grade 3/ 4, annual package range from $95,953 to $105,068 (includes base salary range from $84,659 to $92,701 + 12% superannuation)

About You…
We are looking for candidates that have:
Tertiary qualifications in Media, Communications discipline, or an equivalent combination of specialised knowledge, skills and experience; Demonstrated experience in content creation across multiple platforms; Extensive experience in media relations, media liaison and stakeholder communications; NSW Class C Drivers license; Obtain and maintain a current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) at own expense.
Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Media and Content Officer to join our Media and Comms team on a 12-month contract.
About the Role…
Taronga's Media and Content Officer will develop and implement both internal and external communication strategies that help promote the Taronga vision and mission and support the organisation’s needs in achieving the goals of the strategic plan.
This role works with media to deliver sustained positive media coverage of the Taronga Western Plains Zoo, its events and offerings, and Taronga’s conservation work. This includes content production (video, photography and editing) for media and social media distribution.
Key Accountabilities…
Deliver defined communications programs aimed at raising awareness, establishing connections with wildlife and inspiring an audience to want to engage. Deliver Zoo communications through generation of media releases, briefs, speeches, feature stories and social media updates, and liaising directly with media and assisting with media famils. Provide multi-purpose material to occupy the Zoo's digital presence including targeted stories, undertaking interviews with key zoo stakeholders, recording appropriate overlay, producing videos and stills photography and social media management. Coordinate and plan Taronga specific events, launches and support the delivery of promotional activities such as in grounds activations. Develop and maintain relationships with appropriate stakeholders both internal and external. Communicate Taronga’s conservation messages ensuring all communications align with Taronga’s values to inspire change in accordance with Taronga’s vision and strategic pillars.
