About the Position
Under supervision of the Senior Marketing Manager, the Marketing & Engagement Coordinator will assist the SIFF Marketing Team in managing deadlines, events, and materials to support team organization and increase the awareness of SIFF Festivals, NFFTY and year-round Cinema Programs. This is an entry-level marketing position with room to grow into many aspects of film marketing targeting festivals and year-round exhibition. Using excellent tracking, documentation and administration skills, this position supports SIFF’s ability to promote and strengthen SIFF’s Mission.
Reports to: Senior Marketing Manager
Compensation: $55,000 annually
Primary Responsibilities
- Support SIFF year-round cinema programming, festivals, education, fundraising, and SIFFsupports via digital marketing, social media marketing, public relations, graphic design, and creative marketing
- Support outreach to external organizations and partners, establishing relationships and creating & distributing promotional deliverables
- Support execution of venue activations alongside SIFF Marketing and Development staff, SIFF Cinema staff, and external partners
- Support project management and deadline tracking of Marketing Department projects utilizing Google Suite, Trello, and Slack
- Work with Senior Marketing Manager to curate social media content, support email marketing, and generate website copy
- Assist with capturing content for SIFF’s social channels on site at Festivals, screenings, and special events
- Organize and track media links, photos, and press clippings
- Assist Graphic Design Manager with coordination of print and web projects, such as advertising, printed collateral materials, lobby displays, and digital graphics
- Assist Development team with benefit fulfillment for funders and sponsors, including logo placement, ticket or pass distribution, social media and eNews placement
- Work directly with studios and distributors to track and coordinate poster and material delivery among SIFF venues
Qualifications
Required
- Experience with Google Suite, Canva, and Trello (or similar project management systems)
- Demonstrated commitment to racial equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and excitement to collaborate across teams internally and externally
- Comfort with public speaking and presenting to groups
- Experience developing and implementing new processes to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of a team or program
Desired
- Up to 3 years of school, internship or prior professional experience working with a Marketing team. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Bachelors or Associates degree or other combination of relevant education and/or experience
- Strong interest in film and entertainment programming and events hosted by neighboring Arts organizations.
Ideal Candidate Will
- Possess excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be detail and deadline-oriented, and take initiative
- Be able to collaborate with all areas of the organization, and to provide exceptional service both internally and externally
- Have a passion for, and knowledge of, film and cinema
Work Environment: Hybrid allowed. This full-time position will work onsite at our Seattle office (SIFF Film Center) and may be required to be onsite for Festival screenings and events at our venues. Remote work is allowed, with schedule agreed upon with supervisor.
