Job Description:

Manager, Policy and Projects (EOI)

  • Expressions of Interest to join Sound NSW, a dedicated office committed to the growth, development and promotion of contemporary music in NSW
  • This is a Clerk Grade 9/10 role with a salary range of $129,464 - $142,665 per annum plus superannuation
  • Temporary opportunity up to 3 months, with possibility to extend
  • This role is based in Haymarket NSW - hybrid working arrangements may be available within business operational needs

About The Role

The Manager, Policy and Projects, plays a key role in delivering the NSW Government's 10-year Contemporary Music Strategy to help build a more robust local music industry, grow audiences for NSW music and strengthen our communities with music.

This role will work closely with the Senior Manager, Policy and Projects, to develop and deliver policy and project work, including the development of a live music venue accreditation scheme.

About You

This role will require the following capabilities:

  • Experience in developing, drafting and executing government policy initiatives
  • Skills in undertaking research and evaluating proposals
  • Ability to collaborate with, and provide strategic advice to a broad range of government and industry stakeholders
  • Previous experience with legislative reform would be beneficial
