The opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy as a Legal Contract Management Senior Professional, and play a pivotal role in guiding complex, high-impact energy projects from concept to completion. In this role, you will lead contract strategy across the North America region, ensuring strong governance, risk management, and alignment with business goals. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders, influencing key commercial decisions and supporting successful project execution.
This is a unique opportunity to bring your expertise in contract management, negotiation, and legal analysis to a global organization driving the energy transition. You will work on diverse projects across data centers, EPC, and power generation, gaining exposure to a wide range of technologies and markets. Your insights will directly shape contract frameworks, mitigate risks, and enhance operational performance—making a lasting impact on both business outcomes and customer success.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
How you'll make an impact

Develop and implement contract strategies aligned with business and project goals

Review and negotiate commercial and technical terms in tenders and agreements

Identify contract risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies

Analyze contract baselines, including scope, schedule, and specifications

Partner with Legal to draft and finalize agreements during sales and execution phases

Provide contractual guidance to project managers and internal stakeholders

Monitor contract performance and lead lessons learned and closeout activities

Deliver training on contract management practices across the organization
Your background
-
Degree in Law or equivalent qualification
-
7+ years of experience in contract management
-
Experience with Data Center, EPC, or Power Generation contracts

Strong knowledge of contract negotiation, legal frameworks, and risk management

Experience working in international and cross-functional environments

Structured, detail-oriented approach with strong organizational skills
