Join the Point-of-Sale (POS) Development team! As an Intermediate Software Engineer, you will work on a highly complex, fast-paced, cross-platform effort with varying technology solutions (infrastructure, software, middleware, etc.). As a vital team member, you will contribute to building scalable, robust, and secure solutions that will enhance the cloud platform supporting Point-of-Sale applications. You will work closely with the project team to ensure requirements are understood and turned into functional code that is peer-reviewed, tested, and deployed to our production environment.

Your Impact

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based POS platform applications for performance, reliability, security, and scalability
• Partner with BA's and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Deliver new features to expand POS cloud platform capabilities
• Support deployments, pilot monitoring, and production troubleshooting
• Work with QA's to test, validate, and release high-quality software
• Stay current on emerging technologies and apply them where beneficial

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft .NET Core and C#
• Familiar with Git code management, DevOps Integration & Pipelines, or other CI/CD tools
• Familiar with implementing Cloud Data storage technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-level applications
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft .NET Core and C#
• 1+ years of experience with Git code management, DevOps Integration & Pipelines, or other CI/CD tools
• 1+ years of experience implementing Cloud Data storage technologies
• 1+ years of experience implementing solutions with Kafka
• 1+ years of experience with Python, XML/JSON, YAML, PowerShell
• Experience with Point-of-Sale device integration
• Experience with Android or Hybrid Mobile Application Development

Year End Bonus

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
