Position Overview

The Part-Time Instructor for Business Analysis & Data Analytics plays a key role in delivering engaging and impactful learning experiences to adult learners enrolled in our online programs.
Instructors facilitate curriculum content, support student learning, and connect business analysis concepts with real-world data, automation, and AI-driven business applications. This role involves teaching live online sessions, mentoring learners, providing feedback, and contributing to a collaborative instructional environment.
Classes are delivered 100% online in a synchronous format.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver end-to-end training programs in Business Analysis and Data Analytics.

Train learners on:

Business Analysis

• Requirements elicitation and documentation
• Stakeholder management
• Business process modeling
• Requirements lifecycle management
• Solution evaluation techniques
• End-to-end Business Analysis lifecycle
• BABOK-aligned Business Analysis practices

Advanced Excel

• Data analysis and reporting
• Advanced formulas and functions
• Dashboards and automation basics
• Data cleaning and validation

SQL

• Queries, joins, and aggregations
• Data extraction and transformation
• Performance optimization techniques
• Real-world business reporting use cases

ETL Processes

• Data extraction, transformation, and loading workflows
• Data pipelines and integration concepts
• Data preparation and validation processes

Microsoft Power BI

• Data modeling concepts
• DAX calculations and measures
• Dashboard development and reporting
• Interactive visualization best practices

RPA Concepts

• Introduction to Robotic Process Automation
• Real-world automation use cases
• Process identification and workflow automation basics
• Exposure to tools such as UiPath or Automation Anywhere

Agile Frameworks

• Scrum methodologies
• User stories and backlog management
• Sprint planning and Agile collaboration concepts
• Agile Business Analysis practices

Agentic AI for Business Analysis

• AI-assisted requirement gathering
• Workflow automation concepts
• AI-driven decision support
• Practical use of AI tools such as ChatGPT for business analysis workflows

Develop:

• Case studies

Guide learners through hands-on activities, projects, and practical business scenarios.

Evaluate learner performance and provide clear, actionable feedback.

Mentor learners and resolve technical or conceptual queries.

Maintain session quality metrics and learner engagement standards.

Collaborate with internal teams on curriculum enhancement and content development initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Data Analytics, or related field
• 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Technical Trainer
• Strong expertise in:
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis techniques
  • SQL and database querying
  • Power BI and business intelligence reporting
  • ETL concepts and data pipelines

• Strong knowledge of CBAP-level Business Analysis practices, including:
  • BABOK framework
  • Requirements elicitation & documentation
  • Stakeholder management
  • Business process modeling
  • Requirements lifecycle management
  • Solution evaluatio
• Working knowledge of RPA tools such as UiPath or Automation Anywhere
• Experience with Agile tools such as Jira
• Familiarity with AI tools and platforms such as ChatGPT for business analysis workflows
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
• Prior experience delivering online or classroom training preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• CBAP certification from the International Institute of Business Analysis (highly preferred)
• Certifications in Power BI, SQL, Agile, or RPA tools preferred
• Prior experience in corporate training, coaching, or mentoring professionals
• Exposure to AI-assisted productivity and automation workflows
• Experience working on enterprise transformation or analytics initiatives

Student Support & Mentorship

Provide individualized student support during live sessions and scheduled office hours.

Maintain regular communication with students regarding progress, expectations, and milestones.

Respond to student and staff communications in a timely and professional manner.

Provide clear, constructive, and timely feedback on assignments, assessments, and projects.

Performance Monitoring

Evaluate student progress based on course deliverables and established grading rubrics.

Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and engagement.

Identify and escalate academic or learner performance concerns to the Lead Instructor or appropriate staff.

Support learner improvement plans and project readiness initiatives when necessary.

Collaboration & Professional Conduct

Adhere to institutional policies and instructional team standards.

Foster an inclusive, respectful, and professional learning environment.

Serve as a role model and mentor for learners pursuing Business Analysis and Data Analytics careers.

Collaborate with instructional staff and program teams to improve the learner experience and program outcomes.

Represent the organization professionally when interacting with students, staff, and external stakeholders.

Work Schedule

Part-Time instructors typically work 10–15 hours per week depending on cohort schedules.

The total weekly part-time commitment is expected to be 8–12 hours.

Weekday - 06:30 PM CST - 09:30 PM CST (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday)

Weekend - 09:00 AM CST - 12:00 PM CST (Saturday and Sunday)

Flexibility for evening availability is required.

Compensation

The anticipated pay range for this position is $55 – $60 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

This position is classified as Part-Time, Non-Exempt, and employees will be compensated for all hours worked in accordance with applicable federal and state wage and hour laws.
