Government Contracts Senior Associate Attorney
Location: Washington, DC

Compensation: $365,000+
A premier global law firm is seeking a Government Contracts Senior Associate Attorney to join its Washington, DC office.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in advising government contractors, defense contractors, technology companies, private equity sponsors, and strategic investors on sophisticated government contracts, national security, and transactional matters.
Ideal Background
5+ years of government contracts experience gained at a sophisticated law firm, government agency, or in-house legal department
• Experience supporting the government contracts aspects of mergers & acquisitions, private equity investments, structured investments, and other strategic transactions
• Experience advising clients regarding government contracts compliance, procurement regulations, and transactional risk management
• Experience with DCSA facility security clearances, Foreign Ownership, Control or Influence (FOCI) analyses, and national security compliance
• Experience counseling clients regarding small business set-aside programs, SBIR and STTR awards, rights in technical data, software licensing, subject inventions, and intellectual property issues
• Experience advising on cybersecurity compliance, CMMC requirements, FAR, DFARS, and related federal procurement regulations
• Experience drafting and negotiating prime contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, and other government contracting agreements
• Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, project management, and communication skills
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters while maintaining significant client interaction
• Outstanding academic credentials
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• DC bar admission required or ability to become admitted
